S'pore Agrees To Expand Scope Of Military Cooperation With Thailand

BANGKOK, July 23 (Bernama) -- Singapore has agreed to expand the scope of military cooperation with Thailand, according to the Royal Thai Government website.

The message was conveyed by Singapore's Supreme Commander, Air Marshal Ng Chee Meng during a courtesy call on the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) chief, Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha this morning.

Ng affirmed the cooperation between the armies of both countries.

He also encouraged the NCPO to build sustainable democracy in Thailand, said the website.

During the meeting, Prayuth also briefed Ng on the current situation in Thailand, and discussed bilateral cooperation on security matters between the two countries.
