Peru Keen On Promoting Economic Ties With Azerbaijan

LIMA, Aug 3 (BERNAMA-NNN-ANDINA) -- Peru has expressed interest in promoting economic ties with Azerbaijan, its Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Jose Luis Silva Martinot said during a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov here.
During the meeting Wednesday, Martinot briefed Mammadyarov on Peru's trade and economic situation and highlighted the country's conducive investment climate, which attracted companies from Latin America and Europe to invest in Peru.
Mammadyarov emphasised the importance of mutual visits, business forums and expansion of trade-economic ties with Peru.
He noted that Azerbaijan had established economic links with many countries, including from Latin America.
Martinot also accepted Mammadyarov's invitation to visit Azerbaijan and plans to make the visit with a delegation comprising Peruvian businessmen.
