Gold Futures End Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, June 14 (Bernama) -- The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, tracking the COMEX gold futures.

At the close, spot month June 2024 contract was slightly lower at US$2,322.4 per troy ounce from US$2,322.9 per troy ounce yesterday, while July 2024 edged down to US$2,329.2 per troy ounce from US$2,329.7 per troy ounce previously. 

August 2024, September 2024, October 2024 and December 2024 all settled marginally lower at US$2,344.8 per troy ounce compared with US$2,344.9 per troy ounce yesterday.

Volume fell to five lots from eight lots on Thursday, while open interest eased to 25 contracts from 26 contracts previously.

The price of physical gold stood at US$2,310.80 per troy ounce, according to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on June 13.
