Gold Futures End Mostly Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 (Bernama) -- The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended mostly lower on Wednesday.

At the close, the spot month March 2024 contract rose to US$2,192.10 per troy ounce from US$2,186.90 per troy ounce at Tuesday’s close.

The April 2024, May 2024, June 2024, August 2024, and October 2024 contracts all settled lower at US$2,192.20 per troy ounce from US$2,196.60 previously.

Volume increased to 28 lots from 15 while open interest narrowed to 37 contracts versus 58 yesterday.

According to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on March 26, the price of physical gold stood at US$2,179.80 per troy ounce.
