FBM KLCI futures end lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 5 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today in line with the weaker underlying cash market performance. 

At the close, August 2022 lost 5.5 points to 1,499.5, September 2022 declined 6.5 points to 1,488.5, December 2022 slipped 4.5 points to 1,488.0, and March 2023 decreased 8.5 points to 1,477.5.

Turnover declined to 5,885 lots from 8,387 lots on Thursday, while open interest narrowed to 40,357 contracts from 42,730 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 6.16 points to 1,501.55 from 1,507.71 on Thursday.
