FBM KLCI futures close lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Thursday in line with the weaker underlying cash market.

At the close, November 2021 and June 2022 declined 7.5 points each to 1,514.5 and 1,500.5 respectively, while December 2021 and March 2022 both shed 6.5 points to 1,514.5 and 1,507.5.

Turnover surged to 20,771 lots from 9,836 lots on Wednesday, while open interest jumped to 53,489 contracts from 41,903 contracts yesterday. 

At 5 pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) declined 4.67 points to finish at 1,517.60 from 1,522.27 yesterday.
