FBM KLCI futures end higher

KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, in line with the better performance by the underlying cash market. 

At the close, May 2021 rose 12.5 point to 1,588.00, June 2021 gained 12 points to 1,585.00, September 2021 bagged 9.5 points to 1,575.50 and December 2021 added 10.5 points to 1,561.5.

Turnover fell to 7,340 lots from Thursday’s close of 10,842 lots, while open interest decreased to 38,398 contracts from 43,345 contracts previously.

The benchmark FBM KLCI bagged 9.12 points to 1,587.45 compared with Thursday’s close of 1,578.33.
