Gold futures remain untraded in early trade

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 17 -- The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives remained untraded in early trade today.

At 9.44 am, September 2020, October 2020, November 2020 and December 2020 were all flat at RM254.00, RM255.00, RM256.25 and RM262.00 a gramme, respectively.

Volume was nil, while open interest stood at 21 contracts.

At 9.30 am, the price of physical gold decreased 47 sen to RM251.71 a gramme from RM252.18 a gramme at the close on Tuesday.

The local market was closed yesterday for the Malaysia Day holiday.
