KLCI futures close higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2 -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today in line with the better underlying cash market.

At the close, spot month December and March 2020 rose 4.5 points each to 1,570 and 1,569, respectively, January 2020 added 7.0 points to 1,572.5 and June 2020 gained 1.0 point to 1,564.5. 

Turnover declined to 7,621 lots from Friday’s 10,765 lots, while open interest narrowed to 34,812 contracts from 42,198 contracts previously. 

At 5pm, the benchmark FBM KLCI rose 8.81 points to 1,570.55.
