KLCI futures end lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 21 -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, tracking the downtrend in the underlying cash market.

At the close, spot month November 2019, December 2019 and March 2020 fell 7.0 points each to 1,590.5, 1,591 and 1,588.5 respectively, while June 2020 shed 6.0 points to 1,588.

Turnover increased to 6,657 lots from 5,892 lots on Wednesday, while open interest narrowed to 31,729 contracts versus 34,849 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the benchmark FBM KLCI shed 8.95 points to 1,592.19.
