KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 (Bernama) -- Mohd Arfaizal Muhammad Arsat from  Bank Muamalat  Bhd was adjudged champion of the elocution contest among financial institutions vying for the Governor Trophy 2019 organised by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

He walked away with RM5,000 cash prize, a trophy, a specially produced copper medallion, a certificate of participation, as well as books published by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, the central bank said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Mohd Afifi Zahari from Zurich Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd and Panglima Jagumba J Padasian from Citibank came in second and third, respectively.

The 11th installation of the competition in Bahasa Malaysia with the topic “The use of national language in financial institutions is still not widespread: The challenges and limitations” drew participation from 22 financial institutions, including six foreign institutions.
