Ahmad Zahid Opens Media Centre At UMNO General Assembly 2017

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 5 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister and UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today launched the 'Laman Media' (media centre) that provides various facilities for news organisations covering the UMNO General Assembly 2017.
Over 1,800 personnel from 75 print and electronic media organisations converge at the centre in Dewan Tun Razak 4, Level 4 of the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here for the duration of the assembly until this Saturday.
The party's annual gathering has attracted 61 local and 14 international media organisations to cover the event.
Compared to last year, the 'Laman Media' this time houses the print, electronic and social media under one roof, with the work areas being more comfortable and bigger than that provided at Mawar Room previously.
Besides the latest multimedia technology, this media centre is also equipped with a news conference room, surau and dining area.
Ahmad Zahid, who is also carrying out the duties of deputy party president, spent some time visiting the media centre including the Bernama and Bernama News Channel (BNC) work space, where he exchanged greetings with members of the media.
