Takaful IKHLAS Hopes To Record Better Contributions At MSAM 2017
Last update: 21/04/2017

KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (Bernama) -- Takaful Ikhlas Bhd hopes to record better contributions at Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia 2017 (MSAM 2017) compared to RM2 million in last year's event, said President/Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ab Latiff Abu Bakar.

"Takaful IKHLAS†involvement in MSAM this year is its 14th by promoting takaful protection services based†on Shariah and also plays its role as the 'Rakan Program Keagamaan,'" he said in a statement.

Ab Latiff said as†an entity under Permodalan Nasional Bhd, Takaful Ikhlas was proud to have the opportunity to work together in making MSAM 2017 a successful programme.

"Our products have received encouraging responses during MSAM," he said.

He said awareness about takaful among Malaysians was†still low and by participating in the annual event, the company aimed†to promote awareness hence enabling Malaysians to have a takaful scheme.

"Takaful IKHLAS agents in Temerloh will play their part to increase public understanding of the concept and importance of takaful which is part of the financial protection network being offered," he said.

The MSAM, from April 20-28, is organised by Permodalan Nasional Bhd in Temerloh, Pahang.

Starting April the banks have imposed a 50 sen processing fee on top of the 15 sen stamp duty on each cheque. The fee also applies to those applying for a Bankerís Cheque, Bank Draft and Cashierís Order. Do you think this additional charge is justified?
