Teraju Disburses RM20 Million Fund For Bumiputera Projects In Sarawak

KUCHING, July 10 (BERNAMA) -- Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera (Teraju) through its corridor unit, Teraju Sarawak, is disbursing almost RM20 million of Facilitation Fund to four high performing Bumiputra companies under the Teras programme.



In a statement issued to the media, Teraju said the disbursement was part of the RM100 million Facilitation Fund allocation by Teraju to develop the initiative in Sarawak.



Teraju Chief Executive Officer, Husni Salleh handed over the cheques to Amalgamated Plant Engineering Sdn Bhd (RM1,035,388), Bunga Tenaga Sdn Bhd (RM6,600,000), Petra Resources Sdn Bhd (RM6,450,000) and Serba Dinamik Sdn Bhd (RM4,428,000) at a ceremony held at the Chief Minister's Office, Wisma Bapa Malaysia here Thursday.



The handover ceremony was witnessed by Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem, and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar.



The four selected companies have existed for more than ten years at present providing services in mechanical engineering, civil and structural quality, repair and maintenance of vessels, port operations, ship and ship agency, equipment distribution, operation and maintenance, engineering, contracts and integrated maintenance.



The funds received will be utilised for construction and renovation works as well as to purchase machinery and equipment.
