Joseph Entulu Promoted To Minister

KUCHING, May 15 (Bernama) -- Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Deputy
President
Datuk Joseph Entulu Belaun, 54, was today promoted to a minister's post.
The former Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development is now a
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department.
Joseph Entulu, a Master in Business Administration majoring in finance from
University of Kentucky, United States also has a double Bachelor Degree in
accountancy and economics from the Western Michigan University, United States in
1980s.
He was a former accounting lecturer with Institut Teknologi Mara from 1985
before quitting to join politics in 1991.
He first contested in the Tamin state seat during the 1991 General Election
under the then opposition Parti Bangsa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) which joined BN in
1994.

After being Tamin state assemblyman for three terms, he moved to the
Selangau Parliament seat in the 2004 General Election.
He was the former Sarawak assistant minister of Social Development and
Sarawak Chief Minister's Office from 1998 to 2000, before moving to the post of
Assistant Minister in the Sarawak Chief Minister's Office in charge of Youth
Activities and Affairs.
In 2004, he was appointed Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department
and moved to the Rural and Regional Development Ministry in 2008.
