Gold futures open untraded

KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 -- The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives was untraded in the early trading session on Wednesday.

At 9.33am, spot month June 2021 was pegged at RM225.00 and July 2021 at RM230.00 a gramme, while August 2021 and September 2021 both stood at RM255.00 a gramme.

Volume was nil while open interest stood at eight contracts.

At 9.30am, the price of physical gold shrank 86 sen to RM237.75 a gramme from RM238.61 a gramme yesterday.
