KLCI futures higher in early session

KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 — The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract (FKLI) on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened higher in early trade, tracking the positive underlying cash market.

At 9.32am, spot month April 2021 and May 2021 gained 6.5 points each to 1,604.50 and 1,599.50, respectively, June 2021 increased 5.5 points to 1,597.0, and September 2021 improved 7.0 points to 1,588.0.

Turnover stood at 1,334 lots, with open interest at 33,253 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI was 3.9 points better at 1,602.13 after 30 minutes of trading.
