KLCI futures open lower

KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower this morning on lack of demand as traders remained on the sidelines.

At 9.30 am, spot month June 2020 decreased 5.5 points to 1,485, July 2020 trimmed 6.0 points to 1,481 and September 2020 eased 6.5 to 1,470. 

Meanwhile December 2020 was untraded and remained at 1,468. 

Turnover stood at 2,458 lots, with open interest at 35,002 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI was 0.43 points weaker at 1,489.71 after 55 minutes of trading.
