Last update: 27/08/2019

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27 -- PMB Investment Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pelaburan MARA Bhd has partnered with Zurich Takaful Malaysia Bhd to co-market and cross sell each other’s product portfolios.

The parties have signed a Strategic Collaboration Memorandum -- Referral Arrangement and Cross Agency Appointments today.

Pelaburan Mara acting group chief executive officer (CEO) Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin said the collaboration will accelerate growth and demand for shariah-based financial products.

“This, in turn, will bring about a significant impact to both companies and the Islamic financial industry,” he told reporters after the strategic collaboration memorandum signing ceremony here today.

As at July 31, 2019, PMB Investment has 1,000 unit trust consultants and is expecting an increase of 50 per cent by year-end, while Zurich Malaysia has approximately 6,000 agents serving customers nationwide.

Meanwhile, Zurich Malaysia CEO Mukesh Dhawan said the collaboration would educate Malaysians on Islamic financial education and literacy at a faster pace.
