KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract is likely to track the FTSE Bursa Malaysia’s (FBM KLCI) performance next week.
The cash market is expected to trade range-bound between 1,590 and 1,620 points on the back of improved market sentiment.
On a Friday-to-Friday basis, spot month August 2019 gained eight points to 1,600.5, September 2019 added seven points to 1,593.0, December 2019 was five points higher at 1,591.0 and March 2020 rose 6.5 points to 1,588.5.
Turnover increased to 32,755 lots from last week's 31,225 lots, while open interest expanded to 36,520 lots from 33,016 lots in the holiday-shortened week.
The benchmark FBM KLCI firmed 10.11 points to 1,609.33 from last week's close of 1,599.22.
