AIA appoints Ben Ng as CEO

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 (Bernama) --AIA Bhd has appointed Ben Ng as its new chief executive officer, effective Aug 15, 2019.

Ng will be responsible to further strengthen AIA’s position in the life insurance industry and help the company to optimise its growth in Malaysia. 

“We are proud to have Ng leading our operations in Malaysia. With a track record of success spanning more than 24 years in the life insurance industry, I am confident Ng will help us scale our business here to a new level of growth and success,” said AIA Group regional chief executive Tan Hak Leh in a statement.

Ng who joined AIA in 2011, will lead the ongoing development of the company’s insurance and takaful businesses in Malaysia.

He will report to Tan.

Ng graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration. He is a qualified Actuary and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
