Last update: 02/08/2019

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 (Bernama) — Allianz Malaysia Bhd today launched two products namely MediSafe Infinite+ and MediAdvantage, to offer Malaysians improved medical coverage locally and overseas.

Underwritten by Allianz Malaysia’s insurance arm, Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd, both products serve as riders to Allianz PowerLink, offering a protection focused investment-linked plan.

Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd chief executive officer Joseph Gross said with the introduction of these two riders, Malaysians are able to exercise flexibility in exploring different medical coverages which suit their needs whether locally or overseas.

MediSafe Infinite+ works as a medical insurance which offers comprehensive local hospitalisation and surgery coverage.

“To encourage affordability, we are offering seven plans ranging from Plan 50 for an insured amount of RM850,000 to plan 500 for an insured amount of RM2.5 million,” he told reporters after the products’ launch here today.

MediAdvantage, on the other hand, is an overseas medical plan which offers overseas hospitalisation and surgical benefits to complement the medical protection provided by MediSafe Infinite+.

The plan functions as a protection package that offers customers a seamless experience when seeking medical treatment overseas for five medical conditions and treatments such as cancer, coronary artery bypass surgery, heart valve surgery and live-donor organ.

“MediAdvantage is available in two plans, allows customers the option to seek a second medical opinion from medical experts to determine the best available treatment plan for them,” Gross added.
