KLCI futures end higher

KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today in line with the performance of the underlying cash market.

June 2019 and December 2019 rose nine points each to 1,647 and 1,640 respectively, while July 2019 added 9.5 points to 1,649.5 and September 2019 was 11.5 points higher at 1,645.5.

Turnover increased to 6,292 lots from 5,404 lots recorded on Monday, while open interest widened to 33,201 contracts versus 31,767 contracts previously.

The benchmark FBM KLCI rose 14.36 points to 1,652.76 at today's closing
