KUALA LUMPUR, May 2 (Bernama) -- Allianz Malaysia Bhd and Tesco Stores (M) Sdn Bhd have announced a strategic partnership to offer insurance products online.
Through this partnership, Allianz Malaysia's products will be available on Tesco Malaysia's website, offering comprehensive motor, travel care, smart home cover and enhanced road warrior products.
Tesco Stores Chief executive officer Paul Ritchie said Tesco Stores was always looking for ways to provide convenience to customers.
"Through our partnership with Allianz, we're delighted to be able to offer our 3.5 million Tesco Clubcard customers, an opportunity to purchase insurance coverage to fit their needs," he told reporters at the launch here today.
Tesco Malaysia is now the first supermarket chain in Malaysia to offer insurance products online.
He said Tesco Clubcard members can earn points for their online insurance purchase, with double points awarded for those made during the launch period from today to June 2, 2019.
Tesco Stores (M) Sdn Bhd is a joint-venture company between Tesco PLC and Sime Darby Bhd.
Meanwhile, Allianz Malaysia Bhd, an Allianz SE unit, has two insurance subsidiaries -- Allianz General Insurance Company (M) Bhd and Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd.
