Allied World backing Malaysia's aim to become international Islamic insurance hub

KUALA LUMPUR, May 2 (Bernama) -- Switzerland-based insurance and reinsurance solutions provider, Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, GmbH has established a retakaful window of Allied World Assurance Company Ltd in Labuan, Malaysia.

Labuan Branch, vice-president, country manager and principal officer, Ramesh Sivanathan said the company was excited to support Malaysia’s ambition to become a respected international Islamic insurance hub.

“We look forward to supporting this fast growing segment of the Malaysian market.”

The window will cater to both consumer and commercial general retakaful opportunities spanning property, casualty, construction and engineering, professional lines, healthcare liability, marine cargo and group personal accident.
