KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 (Bernama) -- Bank Simpanan Nasional has picked the last of the 12 millionaires from its Premium Savings Certificate (BSN SSP) 2018 special draw campaign titled "The Search Continues! 12 million ringgit, 12 millionaires, 12 months”.

Lime farm entreprenuer Yahaya Abdullah from Terengganu was recently named as the lucky winner of RM1 million from the BSN SSP special draw in December 2018, thus ending the search for the 12th millionaire in the 2018 campaign.

At the event, Azizon Samsudin from Perak drove home a BMW X5 SUV for being chosen the winner of the BSN SSP Monthly Draw, BSN said in a statement today.

In the BSN SSP Junior Category, the winners of the grand prizes, namely Muhammad Haiqal Aiman ​​Idrus, Jasmine Eleena Chee Eugene and Nur Izzatun Nadia Saiful Bahri, walked away with a BSN SSP of RM10,000 each.

BSN chief executive Datuk Yunos Abd Ghani said the BSN SSP received a very encouraging response from the public with the number of savers throughout Malaysia reaching over 3.27 million people saving over RM3.39 billion until December 2018.

"To further encourage the people to save, we are introducing new draws with much bigger rewards for BSN SSP depositors this year to enable them to have more opportunities to win rewards.

“BSN is offering 7,384 total prizes worth RM21.96 million this year compared with RM20 million in 2018," he said.

Yunos said BSN is still offering BSN SSP cash deposit of RM1 million rewards for the BSN SSP Special Draw monthly prize winners from January to November 2019.

However, for the first time this year, BSN will double the total amount of the reward to RM2 million for the December 2019 winner, he added.

He said the public should seize the opportunity to get attractive returns through the BSN SSP Special Edition.

Besides the opportunities of winning lucrative prizes offered every month, he said BSN SSP depositors would also earn returns up to 2.5 per cent.

The campaign starts from Dec 15, 2018 until March 31, 2019, he added.
