KLCI futures contract ends lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today in line with the weaker underlying cash market.

December 2018, January 2019 and March 2019 lost 11 points each to 1,658.00, 1,658.50 and 1,653.50 respectively, while June 2019 was 10.4 points weaker at 1,646.50.

Turnover increased to 8,162 lots from 6,252 lots last Friday and open interest widened to 30,025 contracts from 27,377 contracts.

The underlying benchmark FBM KLCI ended 20.34 points lower at 1,641.62.
