LANGKAWI, Sept 4 (Bernama) --  Over 100 branch leaders of the National Association of Malaysian Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advisors (NAMLIFA) nationwide braved the rain today in a special run to create public awareness on the importance of insurance coverage.

Led by their president, K P Lim, the Run for Insurance event, which covered about two kilometres from Pekan Rabu Complex to the Eagles Square, was flagged off by Langkawi Tourism Malaysia manager, Ahmad Junaidy Yahaya.

Lim said the run was part of a nationwide series which took off last December in Kuching, Sarawak and would continue to be held in stages in other parts of the country until the end of next year.

“We hoped that through this run, more people would be aware about the need to be covered with insurance in preparation for any future eventualities,” he said.

In addition to the run, he added that Namlifa had also held a leadership camp, seminar and the national council meeting as part of their four-day programme here.
