As-Salihin's portal beneficial to consultants and agents
Last update: 05/07/2018

PETALING JAYA, July 5 (Bernama) -- In keeping with the times and a paperless movement, Islamic estate planning company, as-Salihin Trustee Berhad, launched the Islamic Estate Planner (IEP) portal today which will help consultants and agents put together documents and submit client applications with ease.

The IEP will help†the agent track applications to the signing stage, saving time and cost for the client, too.

"If before this the Standard Operating Procedure was three days, the portal should help make the submission process faster. It can be accessed at any time -†from AM†to PM," said†as-Salihin Trustee Berhad†president†and chief executive officer, Abdul Aziz Peru Mohamed, at a launch cum Aidilfitri celebration at the company's†head office in†Kelana Jaya.

The portal, which took six months to build, is also expected to lessen the occurrence of miscommunication and errors in document preparation.

In its aim to promote estate planning among Muslims, as-Salihin will be adding 1,500 more agents this year to its current†team of more than 2,000 people.

The services being offered by the trust company†include will-writing, executor and estate administration and a hibah†(gift of asset) service.†

Starting April the banks have imposed a 50 sen processing fee on top of the 15 sen stamp duty on each cheque. The fee also applies to those applying for a Bankerís Cheque, Bank Draft and Cashierís Order. Do you think this additional charge is justified?
