MSAM 2018 records 200,168 visitors

KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) --†Permodalan†Nasional†Bhd's (PNB) Malaysian†Unit Trust Week 2018 (MSAM)†which ended today, saw†overwhelming participation with 200,168 visitors, well†exceeding initial expectations.

The exhibition, which was launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib†Tun Razak†on†April†19,†at Stadium Batu†Pahat, Johor, showcased numerous programmes and†activities aimed at†educating†the public on investing and financial literacy.

Group Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar said the number of visitors at†MSAM†2018 was very encouraging and far exceeded its initial aim of 150,000 visitors.

The closing ceremony today was officiated by Deputy†Prime Minister Datuk†Seri Dr†Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Also present were Johor†Chief Minister Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Johor State Secretary Datuk†Azmi Rohani†and PNB Group President and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Abdul Rahman Ahmad.

Starting April the banks have imposed a 50 sen processing fee on top of the 15 sen stamp duty on each cheque. The fee also applies to those applying for a Bankerís Cheque, Bank Draft and Cashierís Order. Do you think this additional charge is justified?
