National Futsal League 2019 To Feature Home And Away Matches
Last update: 25/01/2018
PETALING JAYA, Jan 24 (Bernama) -- The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) is preparing to implement a new format for the National Futsal League (LFK) competition next season by introducing the home and away match concept.
FAM vice-president Datuk Rosmadi Ismail, who is also the Futsal and Beach Football Committee chairman, said this was part of FAM's efforts to develop futsal in the country, as well as to further enliven the league.
He said apart from that, FAM did not rule out the possibility of having two divisions in the league, following high demand from clubs.
"We think that with the home and away match concept, LFKÂ will become more attractive and competitive, and fans will get to see their favourite teams in action up close.
"Due to the high demand, we may also create a second division league, but it depends on FAM's finances," he told reporters at the 2018 National Futsal League (LFK) qualifying draw held at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya here, today.
