Bank Muamalat Contributes Items For Surau Under Rapid Rail

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3†(Bernama) †-- †Realising the importance of giving comfort to users of public transport, Bank Muamalat†Malaysia Berhad today contributed†items worth RM10,000 to surau†under the management of††Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd.

Bank Muamalat†chief executive officer†Datuk Mohd Redza Shah Abdul Wahid†said the contributions including for prayers such as†prayer veils†(telekung) and mats (sejadah) were for public use at the surau of †36 Light Rail Transits (LRT) and monorail†stations.

"Prasarana Malaysia Berhad†was responsible for providing a more expensive infrastructure, so outsiders like us should support via help like this so that the public gets the best service," he said at the launching of the Bank Muamalat†and†Prasarana†Telekung†Project here.

Mohd Redza†said both parties would co-operate to ensure the facilities would be in †good condition via the involvements of volunteers,

Meanwhile, Rapid Rail chief executive officer Datuk†Ir Zohari Sulaiman said such contributions were beneficial to consumers in performing their daily activities including worshipping in comfort.
