Remains Of Muhammad Lailatulman Buried In Rantau Panjang

PASIR MAS, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- The remains of Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel Muhammad Lailatulman Mohd Sukri, 26, who died at the RMN detention unit at Sungai Wangi, Sitiawan in Perak on Friday, was buried in a military ceremony at the Rantau Panjang Muslim ceremony here today.

The burial took place at 9.30 am today after the body arrived in Kampung Bagus here at 6.30 am from the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh, Perak.

Apart from family members, villagers and RMN officers, also present was RMN Western Fleet deputy commander First Admiral Abu Bakar Mohd Ajis.

Able Seaman Muhammad Lailatulman, 26, behind a wife Nur Liya Asmira Yahya, 24, and a four-month-old daughter.

Muhammad Lailatulman and Able Seaman Nik Muhammad Baihaqy Nik Mat, 28, died at the detention room on Friday and police have classified their deaths as a murder case based on the result of the post mortem reports from the hospital's Pathology Department.

Meanwhile speaking to reporters, Nur Liya Asmira hoped the death of her husband would receive justice.
