Last update: 27/09/2017

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 (Bernama) -- Gold futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed the morning session slightly lower with one contract month traded and amid low interest for the precious metal, dealers said.

"Demand for gold is subdued with the US dollar strengthening after some positive remarks from the Federal Reserve, signalling another rate hike for this year," a dealer said.

October 2017 fell 10 ticks to RM176.20 per gramme, while September 2017, November 2017, and December 2017 remained pegged at RM176.70, RM176.90 and RM176.90 per gramme respectively.

Turnover stood at one lot, while open interest amounted to 133 contracts.
